The product

Kieserite, powder and granular

NL Noney Mandiri Sdn Bhd (1430269-W) is a wholly Bumiputera-owned company recognised by the Indonesian government, through its Energy and Minerals Division, as a major importer of this product.

Analysis conducted by the Mineral and Geoscience Department Malaysia (JMG), and by other departments recognised by the Malaysian government, shows the product contains between 32% and 38% MgO and about 30% SiO₂.

It is supplied as Kieserite powder and as granular Kieserite, delivered FCL in 20GP containers.

Sold as a 1 kg retail pack — Baja Gunung Berapi — and in bulk bags for estates.

Suitable for all kinds of plants, especially palm, coconut, paddy and fruit.

Consists of MgO in the range 32%–38%.

Sweetens fruit and increases the weight of the yield.

Raises pH, CEC, N, Ca, Mg and K levels in the soil.

Enhances the plant’s natural resistance and reduces disease.

Dissolves easily in soil without affecting the soil’s nature.

Manages and avoids unwanted poisoning from the aluminium element.

Field trials

Measured on paddy and on oil palm

Kieserite has been applied and monitored on paddy — dosage plots compared at seventy days, with the treated plots reaching the booting and flowering stages earlier.

On oil palm, an observation was carried out on Lot 12860, 4.019 hectares in Mukim Hulu Sungai Johor, Kota Tinggi, Johor, with monthly yield recorded from February to October.
